I FINALLY GOT A NEW COMPUTER!
I had a laptop for the first two years of my college career, but at the end of last semester it mysteriously exploded [[figuratively]] and so I was stuck the entire summer without a computer. I didn't think it would be that bad- after all, there are many places on campus to use a computer- but it was pretty inconvenient. I couldn't upload/save pictures, I couldn't randomly check my e-mail, I couldn't save important documents, and I had to walk somewhere whenever I wanted to get online.
I just got approved for a credit card through Chevy Chase [[our on-campus bank]], and so the first thing I did was buy a new computer. I bought a dell through the bookstore [[yay discounts]]. As I said, I'd had a laptop before, but never carried it around with me- so what's the point of having one? Also, I wanted something more powerful, and good for playing the Sims 2 (which I LOVE). I ended up buying a desktop- a Vostro. It is gorgeous, fast, and has a huge 22-inch monitor.
It's perfect :)
