I am back in New Orleans, although without regular access to the internet. For the last couple of days I've been in Amite, where my family has a home.

Prior to that I was in Baton Rouge, in a hotel without power for two miserable nights. Baton Rouge got beaten like a drunken stepchild, but New Orleans appears to have been spared the worst of the storm, and my law office is back up and running. I am staying with my parents until power is restored at my home, and what updates to the website I can manage are likely to be similar to this.
Thanks again for the well-wishes and the emails. I am fine, and will be back to writing about food in the near future.
Oh, and fuck you Ike. Stay the hell away from me.
