As dumb luck would have it, Nat woke up this morning and has been feeling pretty good as far as that old tooth is concerned. We're kind of hoping that maybe, just maybe, something his dentist did the second time around shifted things and the actual root of the tooth is not being disturbed or annoyed anymore!! God, let's hope that's the case!!!! We really don't want to endure an unnecessary root canal - especially by this specialist, because of his expensive fees. I truly believe this guy has a monopoly in St. Catharines and it wouldn't hurt him to have some competition!! Anyhow - we're going to let 'Nature" take its course and hope that in a few days or even a week that Nat will be feeling right as rain again and not have to endure anything further!
Also as luck would have it, his Dentist called him late this afternoon to see how he was doing, which I thought was kind of nice!! Nat can endure his fair share of pain and has a lot of strength in his arms, so I suppose if he grabbed you in mega pain, then you'd call too to see how he was doing - either that or run for the hills for putting this poor man through such agony!!! Nat explained how he was doing and that he was going to put off the specialist for now and if he has any problems down the road, then he'll revisit the matter. So let's all give Mother 'Nature" a whole lot of lovin' people so she'll work her magic!!!
On a downer note - Natalie hasn't started her chemo yet. The doctors are in the process of making a head brace so they can pinpoint the actual spots to target. We were certain that they would start as soon as possible, as this poor family is loosing sleep and has virtually put their lives on hold. Even their oldest daughter, Grace, has been tip-toeing into her mom's room every night to make sure she's okay. Natalie, naturally, hasn't been going into a deep sleep and Grace's little steps can be heard all the way into the bedroom. Your heart goes out to Grace, as she's only 10 years old and already she's worrying like an adult. Who can blame her. It's her mom.
As for Natalie's husband, Nat, he's just not sleeping at all and, in fact, he's starting to worry the rest of the family. Natalie's mom has been going over to their house so she can sleep with Natalie and Nat can sleep with Grace to keep her calm. He's still a bundle of nerves and everyone has been trying their best to keep up his spirits and convince him that he's got to keep those positive thoughts!!! The family has to endure at least another week before anything starts to happen.
Vicky, too, has been having her problems after loosing her second baby. She's been going for regular blood work and 'they' keep telling her things don't look that good, but no one seems to know what they're talking about. It seems Vicky isn't experienced enough in life yet to ask the right questions of medical authorities and is none the wiser as to what exactly is going on. Nat has convinced Jenny that she should perhaps accompany her granddaughter on her next blood test and get to the bottom of things. Poor Jenny - everything else has happened and she's not been able to tend to herself after her back surgery. When it rains, it pours!!! Again, let's hope England's Mother 'Nature" can work her magic, too, despite the stormy weather Britain has been getting of late!!
