How timely. This afternoon, my dear friend buried her husband. Unfortunately, he is not here to say he's a cancer survivor, but---without ever even having the chance to meet him personally---I can still say that he will definitely be remembered as a cancer hero!
All week, I've been struggling to understand why his life had to be cut short while he was still in his twenties, why he had to leave such an amazing wife behind to mourn him. I've been speechless, wishing I had the right thing to say to make things better for her. I've prayed so much that this very thing would not happen, yet it has.
But, I've decided that I can perhaps do something about it. In a few minutes, I shall tune in to the Stand Up 2 Cancer special and stand to make a difference!
