Dr. Ashraf Metwally in Maadi was recently quoted in a Daily Egypt Star article saying, "There has definitely been a boom [in the Egyptian breast enlargement market]."
His evidence? Well, ten years ago he was only doing two surgeries per year and now he is at a whopping 45! ...In a city of approximately 18 million, keep in mind.
But tisk, tisk, tisk. It all comes back to the evil WEST. "Surgeries for beautification are in vogue today as a result of the materialistic pattern of Western civilization," says Sheikh Yusuf.
A girl called Amal is cited in the article as saying that her parents and friends were supportive of her decision for larger breasts.
Dr. Metwally explained, "I believe more and more people will undergo plastic surgery in the years to come as it becomes more acceptable." So.. that will be what? 60 people next year? Ya salaam... :D
Finally Amal pondered, "If you think about it, it's such an easy almost magical solution to any problem one might have."
