I was thinking the other days about the people who smoke.
It is not easy for them. All countries started to see smoking as a crime banning it everywhere: bars, discos, coffee shops etc.
How can you have a coffee shop and no smoking area? I don?t think there is a smoker in this world that can imagine having his coffee and not smoking a cigarette.
What is stupid about this is that cigarettes are getting more and more expensive and this is not because of the rising costs of production but it is because of the extra taxes that we have to pay. So it is not bad enough you pay a lot of money to the government but they don?t? even let you enjoy that for which you pay? Why not put a tax on chocolate? I can buy that from any supermarket, just like cigarettes, and if people eat too much it makes them fat and as we know obesity is a big problem. Why not shut down KFC or McDonalds? They are much worst than smoking.
There are less and less pleasures a man can have these days?
What is even more stupid is that if you go to any country who has a strong opposition against smoking you will find that a lot of young people, especially, don?t smoke but they all do drugs. You go for a walk on the street you smell ??weed?? everywhere and if you talk to someone who smokes weed and you tell them you smoke cigarettes they will say: ??It is bad to smoke!? and weed is better? The problem is again not with weed but with other drugs which are getting to be more and more used by young people. This is a problem and if I can see it I don?t think the authorities can?t.
In everything you do there has to be a balance. People have a bad energy they need to take out. People today may smoke less but now they paint there hair like idiots: red, green etc., they dress like they are homeless people, they do drugs a lot etc. but at least they don?t smoke J
I am not a pro smoker but I think it is against the human rights to treat someone like he is an outcast just because he smokes. I don?t like Emo kids for example but I can?t kick them out of a bar, or people who drink for example. I think it is a little exaggerated and without any good results. There should be at least a small corner in any bar at least during the winter for smokers just so they do not have to pay 6 pounds for a pack of cigarettes and catch a cold every time the go out to use something they can buy from a supermarket but are not allowed to use.
