Whew this week has been moving quick! I feel like its been flying by! I haven't strayed from my continuing adventure in raw food though! I am quite proud of myself. I have had plenty of energy. Before I started living a raw food lifestyle I was having problems staying awake on the way home from work. Now I read the entire way instead of snooze and still have plenty of energy to play with my dogs as soon as I get home and take them for a walk! I can't tall you how happy this makes me! I absolutely can not get over the energy that I have, it's wonderful. I am completing so many more tasks during the day and reading so much more. I haven't had a chance to get on here and write anything which has been upsetting.
I received my copy of Ani's uncooking book and have already read over 3/4 of that. I would recommend it to anyone that's looking for quick and easy raw food recipes. I am very much looking forward to trying the Chocolate Mylk recipe (you now how much I love chocolate mylk!). Last night my husband and I made her garden burger (which I'm ashamed to say I can't remember the name of right now, it wasn't her hemp burger). The burger was super simple and the mix of flax and sunflower seeds was super yummy. It was missing something for my taste buds to completely rejoice but I am sure I will figure out what that is after a few more batches. I will be making them again though. Very simple and tasty way to diversify my meals (even though I absolutely adore salads!).
Today, however I was slacking and didn't bring a lunch. I am not starving but I am a little hungry. Everyone is talking about going out to lunch, including the hubby. I think that I might go and get a salad. I really do miss that aspect of eating out (the social aspect). Does anyone else find that their raw food lifestyle affects their social life? Not drinking alcohol or eating cooked food makes it a little more difficult to find some place to go out with friends. I am able to find salads usually, but sometimes its difficult. Plus I also find that I eat mindlessly. There is not though put into what I place in my mouth. I sit down with people at a table in a restaurant and instantly feel like I need to have food in my mouth.
On a side note, did anyone hear about the teacher who was fired for teaching his class about consuming a plant based diet?

I am so happy and full of energy right now! I get my Moxxor today and can't wait to start taking that on top of everything else that I am doing to support my body. I am also super excited about getting Keva on it! I think she is going to benefit greatly (as am I).
I had a wonderful green smoothie this morning for breakfast, it was very refreshing.
Today's Green Smoothie
1/2 Bunch Spinach
2 Bananas
2 cups water (or enough to cover the packed spinach but not go over the banana)
1 Lemon Juiced (I added this after blending the other ingredients and it was a small lemon, if you are using a large lemon, only use half or do it to taste)
Blend ingredients until smooth, add ice if it's needed.
Wishing you a happy and health day. Hopefully I will get a chance to write a little more later today! I am currently trying to figure out what cause/charity I want to donate a portion of my Moxxor sales to. If anyone has a recommendation (and your pocket doesn't count) I would love to hear them! I am thinking about doing something local to help promote agriculture and the importance of organics.
Be Well!
