On BBC i read for the strange feeling of immigrants on Belgium ethnic conflict...Sometimes i wonder also, when you critisize other regions of the world on ethnic tensions (do you remember ex-Yugoslavia?), we are forgetting the very existence of same level conflicts in the heart of Europe. Actually just around the corner of EU's capital. And we forget some other ones also existing in "democratic" Europe : Northern Ireland, disputes on Karelia, russian minorities in Baltic States, Basques and Catalunians, muslims in Thrace- Greece.
On Reuters Alert, i'm reading for the possibility that "green economy" will boost after recent financial crisis. Many analysts and UN are wishing investors to target on alternative environmental technology. Renewable energy, green agriculture and green transportation could be sectors really competitive to invest.
On Planet Ark i read an article referring to markets exchanging carbon licences. Tha article urges for simplifying this perticular market and leading more investments on them in order to imrpove the planet (my sister told me yesterday something wise : Is not the planet in danger....we are in danger!!!).
On Chicago Tribune i read on ban to exports of vaccines on bird flu to five countries considered as states "sponsored terrorism". The basis for such ban is the use of vaccines ingredients to construct biological weapons. Is that so? Then how we could control the spread of a future epidemic if countries are banned to use vaccines? IS that rational?
