New York Fashion Week is finally upon us! The 45 degree weather is smiling upon the last fashion week held in Bryant Park (sad I know). I noticed that these shows are much smaller compared to the Spring shows that carried up to 55 looks at times! I enjoy the smaller shows because I find that it sends a stronger more focused vision. Here are some looks at the first few shows of the Fall 09 season.
Peter Som Fall 09
The bright colored fur collar takes the edge off the sophisticated lines of this lady-like coat.

I love the socks and bare legs, for most of the Fall we don’t need to wear tights anyway!

The print is so great and I love the draping of the skirt, it doesn’t add bulk to her figure.

Great leather jacket and I love the print mixing!

The pop of color in the piping adds drama to a simple fabric.

I LOVE the print on the dress, so refreshing!

This coat is amazing, vintage inspired clearly!

Jenni Kayne Fall 09
Back to the basics never looked better, she even had the presentation at her Upper East Side home.

Of course I love the glasses and the chunky jewelry! Jenni Kayne launched shoes this year as well, check out these geometric cuts…

Acne Fall 2009
Great LBD, easy to wear, funky yet sophisticated. I would love to own this!

Black and brown mixed with great textures, can’t go wrong!

The one shoulder, the shoes… the whole look is great!

Vera Wang Lavender Label Fall 09
Her collection was very laid back for Fall and I think it had just the right amount of feminine details mixed with edgy layering.
