....watch the inauguration in Paris.
No matter what your political views, there's no denying that tomorrow is a big day in the history of the United States. While the French have embraced our president-elect, there's nothing like watching the festivities on the big screen with your fellow Americans (and maybe partying a little too?), preferably at one of the following:
Democrats Abroad hosts a President Barack Obama Inauguration Celebration starting at Le Queenie, starting at 8:00 pm and moving on to the club Queen at 10pm for inauguration on the big screen and dancing. RSVP to the email address on the group's website.
Across the river at 7:30 pm, the American Church in Paris will have 30-minute worship service with a gospel choir followed by the viewing of the speech and a reception. All are welcome to this free event.
Join the Paris Expats Meetup group at Carr's Irish Bar and Restaurant will show the swearing-in and acceptance speech on the big screens starting at 4:30pm (The inauguration ceremony begins at 5:30)
Fill up on American politics and cuisine at Breakfast in America, which will show the broadcast starting at 4:00pm its Rue des Ecoles location.
